Rita's Stone Copper Bracelet

There's something grounding about this one. Put it on and it settles - solid against the wrist, present without being heavy, the kind of thing you stop noticing only because it starts to feel like it was always there.

Three strands wound together by hand - rose copper, gold-brass, and silver-tone - each one shaped and tensioned separately before being twisted into a single braid. Getting the tension even all the way around takes time. I've learned not to rush it.

Copper has been worn against skin for thousands of years. Long before anyone tried to explain it. The people who wore it just kept wearing it, and the tradition passed quietly from hand to hand across centuries.

This bracelet is made to be on a wrist, not in a drawer. I hope it finds the right one.

PRODUCT DETAILS

Handforged from 99.9% pure copper in Rita's workshop in Wicklow, Ireland. Every piece is shaped individually with a hammer and anvil, so small variations in texture are part of the process, not a flaw. Comes in a soft cotton pouch.

HOW DO I KNOW IF IT'S REAL COPPER?

Real copper is heavier than plated metal and warms quickly against your skin. Genuine copper will naturally develop a patina over time — a gradual darkening or warming of tone with wear. If a piece never changes color at all, it likely isn't solid copper.

COPPER CARE

To keep the shine: wipe with a soft cloth after wearing, and clean occasionally with a mix of lemon juice and salt, or a dedicated copper polish. Prefer the natural look? Just wear it, many people love the deeper patina copper develops on its own over time. Avoid harsh chemicals and long soaks in water.

4 Things to Know About Rita's Copper

A Tradition Worth Continuing

People have worn copper against their skin for thousands of years. It's a small, simple tradition Rita continues by hand, one piece at a time.

Made for Daily Wear

Light enough to forget you're wearing it, sturdy enough for daily life. Made to be worn, not kept in a drawer.

Develops Its Own Patina

Real copper changes with wear — a warm, gradual patina unique to your skin. No two pieces ever look the same after a few months.

Made by Hand, Piece by Piece

No machines, no molds. Rita shapes every piece herself, in her workshop in Wicklow — and once this collection sells out, it won't be remade.
